The Black Swan Poppy (Papaver somniferum) is a captivating flowering plant with large, showy flowers. The blooms are striking, with deep purple, maroon, or black petals that have a velvety texture. After flowering, the plant develops ovoid seed pods that open to reveal small, black seeds. The Black Swan Poppy prefers full sun and moderate watering.
